Misya Meze Grill, Pinner: Modern Turkish Dining with Authentic Soul

Tucked away in the heart of Pinner, we stumbled across Misya Meze Grill. This family-run Turkish spot brings serious flavour, generous portions, and a laid-back vibe that makes you want to settle in and stay a while.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the kind of warmth that feels like visiting an old friend’s home – if that friend happened to be a genius with a charcoal grill.

Let’s talk food

Now, the food. This is Turkish cooking at its soul-satisfying best. Everything is full of bold, smoky flavours, but still fresh and vibrant. The meze selection alone could easily be a meal in itself (and trust me, I’ve tried that route). Think creamy hummus, zesty kisir, and refreshing cacik that cuts through all the richness just right.

Some dishes you need to try:

  • Midye Tava (Mussels cooked in tomato and chef’s sauce)
  • Misya Platter for 2
  • Chicken Liver
  • Sarma Beyti w/ Yoghurt
  • Misya Baklava & Rice Pudding

Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:

If you’re looking for a Turkish feast with modern flair, Misya delivers. Even the cocktails were really good – Get the Spicy Magharita. I think these were the best mezze platters (cold and hot) we’ve had. You could be full on just the Mezze starters alone but make room for mains and dessert!

Nino & Josh

The grill is where the magic happens though, whether it’s lamb, chicken or kofte, the meats come out tender, juicy, and with that unmistakable charcoal kiss. It’s the kind of place where you start slow with a few dips, and suddenly you’re halfway through a mixed grill wondering how you’ll fit in dessert (spoiler: you will).

Venue and Vibes

The vibe at Misya is exactly what you want for a mid-week dinner or a chilled weekend catch-up. Inside, it’s warm and rustic with exposed brick, soft lighting, and a casual, unpretentious feel. It’s stylish, but still feels like a local favourite, which it absolutely is.

The team are lovely—attentive without hovering, happy to recommend dishes, and genuinely proud of the food they’re serving. It’s clear this place is built on care, both in and out of the kitchen.

Whether you’re local to Pinner or just willing to travel for great food (guilty), Misya is one of those places you’ll keep coming back to. No fuss, no frills, just really good Turkish food done with heart.
