Muse by Tom Aikens, Belgravia: Personal Gastronomic Journey in an Intimate Georgian Mews
Stepping into Muse feels like being invited into Tom Aikens’ personal story—one course at a time. Housed in a charming converted Georgian mews near Belgravia, this 23-cover Michelin-starred restaurant is where nostalgia, theatrical storytelling, and pinpoint precision converge. You’re not just eating—you’re part of his journey, his memories, and his culinary evolution.
Let’s talk food
At Muse, each dish whispers a memory—from childhood in Norfolk to career-defining moments in Michelin kitchens. It’s all about texture, emotion, and seasonality. Expect playful presentations and layered flavours that make you pause, savour, and even smile in delight. Grace Dent called it “half restaurant, half autobiography, … like delicious talking therapy”
Some dishes you need to try:
- Ricotta, Peach and Beans
- Chicken, White Asparagus and Morel Mushrooms
- Cream Cheese, Cucumber, Dill
Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:
Couldn’t believe we sat at the Chef’s table being served by Tom Aikens himself and you can tell how passionate he is about each dish. Each plate had a personal story connected to his past, based on nostalgia and he created a dessert that was a cucumber cheesecake but brought back his memory of a cheese and cucumber sandwich – we’ve never had anything like this – what an experience!

Menus range from a concise 3-course lunch to indulgent 10-course dinners. Every dish resonates, every flavour feels intentional—and the plating is as theatrical as the storytelling behind it .

Venue and Vibes
The interior is a rich mix of marble counters, plush seating, quirky art-deco touches, and pops of bold colours—it feels stylish without ever being cold. Tucked into a Georgian mews house, the downstairs greets you with a cosy lounge; upstairs, an open kitchen and counter-seating let you watch the show unfold.
Muse isn’t just a meal, it’s a sensory memoir. You’re eating Tom’s stories, from his mother’s bakery to his Michelin battles, through dishes that are playful, precise, and beautifully executed. If you’re after a fine-dining evening that’s both personal and powerful, this is where it happens.
