The Residency Notting Hill: Where European and Caribbean Flavours Dance

Nestled in the heart of Notting Hill, The Residency is a vibrant neighbourhood bar and restaurant that seamlessly blends European and Caribbean cuisines. Under the guidance of Head Chef Carniel Francis, this establishment has quickly become a favourite among locals and visitors alike, offering a lively atmosphere complemented by eclectic music and a warm, welcoming vibe.

We were invited to try their bottomless brunch but their culinary fusion from ackee and saltfish arancini to burrata with tomato marmalade looked appetising. You can tell each plate is crafted with precision and flair.

Let’s talk food

Honestly this was one of the best brunches we’ve had for both sweet and savoury, from the Green shakshuka with poached eggs and rose harissa to their french toast with as much maple syrup as you’d like. Also the presentation was beautiful and clean on the plate.

Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:

The standout dish was the crispy duck salad, cashews, watermelon and hoisin sauce. We’ve never had duck with watermelon but the sweet and zingy freshness created a new flavour which we’ve not tried anywhere else!

Nino & Josh

Their Bottomless brunch includes either brunch or dinner for 90 minutes of unlimited prosecco, beer, house wine and house spirits for £42.50 pp.

Venue and Vibes

The Residency is both relaxed and invigorating, with music playing a central role in the dining experience. The décor reflects the vibrant spirit of Notting Hill, and the attentive staff contribute to a welcoming environment. Whether you’re there for a meal or just drinks, the lively ambiance ensures a memorable time.

Overall, the dining experience is both unique and satisfying. With its innovative menu, lively atmosphere, and commitment to quality, it stands out as a premier destination for those looking to explore the fusion of European and Caribbean cuisines. – Such a shame that this place is now closed.
