Kybelle: A Taste of Elegance in Every Bite
Kybelle is a sophisticated dining destination that redefines Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist. Nestled in East London Shoreditch, this hidden gem blends high-quality ingredients, stylish decor, and an inviting atmosphere to create an unforgettable experience. The name ‘Cybelle’ the Anatolian mother goddess, also worshipped in Greece and the Roman Empire. The Great Mother was the goddess who had once given birth to the other gods, to the first humans, to the animals, and to the wild nature. In short: she was the universal mother.
So why Kybelle but not Cybele?
The founder of Kybelle whom her childhood friend was suffering from a terminal illness and vowed that she would own a coffee shop one day and name it after her, and she did.
Whether you’re planning an authentic Mediterranean breakfast or a catch-up with friends, Kybelle promises a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
The menu celebrates the best of Mediterranean flavours, from traditional Shakshuka to their popular Kybelle Omelettes. Each dish is crafted with care, offering a balance of traditional recipes and contemporary presentation. And let’s not forget the extensive fresh juices—freshly pressed to complement the bold flavours of the breakfast.
Let’s talk food
At Kybelle, every dish tells a story. The rich, vibrant flavours are matched by the impeccable plating, making every meal feel like a work of art. Whether you’re into a full Medi-Breakfast, a light granola with a Kybelle twist, or a vegan Menemen (scrambled eggs with a hearty tomato and red pepper sauce), there’s something on the menu to entice your taste buds.
Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:
Absolutely loved the Medi-Breakfast! Their Free-range organic eggs, grilled halloumi cheese, grilled spicy sausage, spinach and feta borek (cheese pastry), avocado, feta cheese, olives, cherry tomato, served with sourdough bread and jam is a combination I never knew I needed.
