With a menu that showcases traditional dishes, Bali Satay House has become a favourite among those seeking a unique culinary adventure.
The menu features a variety of Indonesian classics, from satay skewers to nasi goreng. Each dish is prepared using traditional recipes and fresh ingredients, ensuring an authentic taste experience accomanied by a selection of Indonesian beverages.
Let’s talk food
The food at Bali Satay House dishes are rich in flavour, with a balance of spices that showcase the clever balance of Indonesian cuisine. The satay skewers are grilled to perfection, and the accompanying peanut sauce adds a nutty richness.
Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:
The Satay Ayam (Chicken Satay) is the go-to, especially with their homemade peanut sauce and sambal which is worth the visit alone, however if the restaurant is busy you might wait a while as every dish is cooked fresh to order.
Nino & Josh
Overall the food was mouth-watering! I would say that some dishes were quite oily, which was a small let down. I loved the fact we could try different foods, and it is such a unique restaurant in London because we don’t seem to have anything else like it.

Venue and Vibes
The atmosphere at Bali Satay House is warm and inviting, with décor that reflects Indonesian culture. The last couple of times we visited, they had Balinese dancers and singers which gives you a glimpse into their culture, so a perfect place for both casual dining and special occasions.
Overall, Bali Satay House offers a genuine taste of Indonesia, and is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the rich culinary heritage of Indonesia. We love how they have built a family and community through their restaurant! It brings such happiness to the restaurant, however we will say that due to the dishes being cooked to order, the food can take a while but worth the wait!
