Let’s talk food
The food here reflects a perfect blend of tradition and quality. Locally sourced ingredients are celebrated, and each dish is prepared with attention to detail. The generous portions and the warmth of homemade flavours make every meal memorable.
Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:
We love a sunday roast, but this is done with elegance. We’ve only come here for Sunday lunch or dinner, but the standout is the Loomswood Farm Duck Breast in madeira sauce and dauphinoise potatos, wild mushrooms and green beans.
Nino & Josh
The Hare’s food feels like a warm embrace. The flavours are bold yet comforting, and the menu highlights traditional British favourites executed with finesse.

Venue and Vibes
We didn’t realise it was run by michelin star chef Raymond Blanc. The Hare exudes countryside charm, with its wooden beams, roaring fireplaces, and rustic décor. The outdoor terrace offers stunning views of the surrounding greenery—perfect for sunny afternoons. Whether it’s a casual lunch or a celebratory dinner, the vibe here is relaxed and inviting. – And you can bring your dog which makes it a full country feel for a gastro pub.
The Hare at Old Redding captures the essence of a countryside pub with its hearty food, scenic location, and warm hospitality. It’s a fantastic spot to escape the hustle of city life and indulge in a comforting meal with many seasonal deals with some upto 50% off main courses.
