Located in Stanmore, the restaurant provides a laid-back atmosphere complemented by friendly service. Diners often praise the variety and authenticity of the dishes, with highlights including the Kenyan Gujarati Chilli Paneer and Methi Chicken Seekh Kebab. For those seeking a distinctive blend of Indian and Kenyan flavours, Purple Flame is a noteworthy destination.


9. Galaxy London

Galaxy Restaurant and Karaoke secured the 9th offering a lively blend of authentic Chinese cuisine and vibrant karaoke entertainment. Located near Elephant & Castle, the venue is known for its friendly staff and diverse menu, featuring dishes like their BBQ lamb skewers to their spicy Seabass Hotpot!

We appreciate the attentive service and the unique combination of dining and karaoke, making Galaxy a memorable spot for a fun-filled night out.

Located in the heart of London’s West End, this iconic establishment provides a welcoming atmosphere, making it a favourite among theatre-goers and seafood enthusiasts.

The menu boasts a variety of fresh fish, shellfish, and oysters, whether you’re seeking a pre-theatre meal or a special dining experience, J Sheekey continues to uphold its legacy as a premier seafood destination in London.


7. Baoziin, Soho

BaoziInn Soho secured the 7th spot, renowned for its authentic Northern Chinese street food in a vibrant Soho setting. The menu features popular dishes like dim sum, chilli prawns, and dan dan noodles, consistently praised for their quality and flavour.

KöD London secured the 6th spot, offering a Danish-inspired steakhouse experience in Devonshire Square. Renowned for its high-quality cuts of steak and minimalist Scandinavian decor, we indulged in a variety of steaks, including the notable 500g UK côte de Köd, complemented by a selection of classic sides. The well-prepared steaks and friendly service make KöD a noteworthy destination for meat enthusiasts and a great entry point to educate yourself on different cuts of meat.


5. Akatuki

Akatuki secured the 5th spot, offering an authentic Japanese dining experience in London’s Muswell Hill. The restaurant is renowned for its high-quality sushi, wagyu beef, but the star dish has to be Homura burning stone with teriyaki chicken. The open kitchen showcasing the exceptional food and immaculate presentation make Akatuki a must-visit destination for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts in London.


4. Pepe Rosso

Pepe Rosso secured the 4th spot, offering authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Watford. Unfortunately this place has now closed however we will always commend the restaurant’s friendly staff and warm atmosphere, highlighting their rustic Italian dishes, including penne arrabbiata and perfectly cooked tomato garlic bread.

The Pantry in Edinburgh has earned 3rd place among our top dining spots for 2023, offering a delightful brunch experience in the city of Edinburgh. We loved The Pantry’s commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients from a full Scottish Haggis breakfast, to it’s sweet french toast. Their modern yet cozy ambiance make it a must-visit for both locals and visitors seeking a memorable brunch in Edinburgh.


2. The Residency, Nottinghill

Securing 2nd spot is another closed venue located in the heart of Notting Hill, The Residency is a vibrant neighbourhood bar and restaurant that seamlessly blends European and Caribbean cuisines. Introducing some of the best flavour combinations we’ve ever had, especially the hoisin duck and watermelon salad, hands down the best salad we’ve ever had and this was meant to be a brunch experience!

Burger & Beyond has clinched the number one spot on our list of top restaurants for 2023, offering so far the best burger experience in London. The Soho location offered their signature 60-day aged beef patties, double American cheese, crispy pancetta bacon, and burnt butter mayo which was the ultimate flavour combination for any burger. Order the boujie burger with a side of truffle tater tots and thank us later!

This award-winning establishment features a spacious shisha lounge, private dining spaces, and a cocktail bar with a diverse menu that caters to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian and vegan options, ensuring a delightful dining experience for all guests.


9. Harry’s Bar and Restaurant

Harry’s Bar in Mayfair, London, has secured the 9th spot, offering an exclusive dining experience renowned for its Italian cuisine. Established in 1979, this private members’ club known for its unflashy opulence, serving some of the most exquisite and unique dishes in London. We loved the decor which was designed by Nina Campbell, featuring cartoons from The New Yorker by Peter Arno and fabrics by Mariano Fortuny, creating a warm and informal atmosphere reminiscent of its Venetian namesake.

This place has attracted praise from notable figures such as Giorgio Armani and Valentino, further cementing its status as a distinguished dining destination.

Hutong at The Shard has earned the 8th spot, offering an exceptional Northern Chinese dining experience with panoramic views of London. Situated on level 33 of The Shard, Hutong is renowned for its authentic cuisine inspired by the imperial palaces of Peking, so of course their Peking duck is a must order.

ROKA Charlotte Street has secured the 7th position, offering an exceptional modern Japanese dining experience in Fitzrovia, renowned for its robatayaki cuisine, an ancient Japanese method of charcoal grilling. Signature dishes include expertly prepared sushi and the famed black cod, which have been described as ‘perfectly good’ for the price.

Whether for a special occasion or a casual night out, ROKA provides a memorable dining experience that continues to impress both new and returning patrons.

Amaya in Knightsbridge takes 6th place on our list for its modern take on Indian cuisine, blending traditional flavours with fine dining flare. The Ivy Asia, located in various locations but this one was in St Pauls, has secured the 5th spot in our top 10 restaurants to visit in 2021. This restaurant offers a unique Pan-Asian dining experience with an interior decor like no other. Signature dishes include the Black Cod Miso, known for its buttery texture and caramelised glaze, and their sushi platters which offer some of the most theatrical asian experiences we’ve seen. The Ivy Asia is perfect for group celebrations, sushi aficionados, and those seeking a vibrant atmosphere in a central location.


4. Kenton Cafe

Kenton Lane Café, a cherished family-run establishment in Harrow, has earned our 4th spot. Celebrating its 10th anniversary during lockdown, this café is renowned for its unique breakfasts that blend traditional British favourites with an Indian twist. A standout order is the ‘Full Hinglish’ breakfast, which features masala beans, spicy hash browns, pickles, and paratha flatbread in place of toast, accompanied by sautéed cherry tomatoes with garlic and egg bhurji, all complemented by masala chai tea.

The café’s cosy atmosphere and friendly staff make it an ideal spot for breakfast enthusiasts seeking a unique culinary experience in North West London.

As much as it’s difficult to get a table, Wingmans, with locations in Kilburn and Soho, has clinched the 3rd, thanks to its exceptional chicken dishes and vibrant atmosphere. Established in 2015, Wingmans quickly gained a reputation for serving some of London’s best chicken wings, earning awards and a loyal customer base.

Signature offerings include their classic Buffalo wings, Korean BBQ wings, and the indulgent truffle mac ‘n’ cheese. The restaurant’s lively ambiance, coupled with a menu that caters to both traditional and adventurous palates, making it an ideal destination for casual dining, group outings, or anyone seeking a flavour-packed meal in a fun setting.


2. OXO Tower

The OXO Tower Restaurant, perched atop the historic OXO Tower on London’s South Bank, offers diners panoramic views of the Thames alongside a menu of modern British cuisine. Originally built as a power station in the 1920s, to then being transformed into a dining spot in 1996 by Harvey Nichols.

As this was our very first date venue, we couldn’t praise their signature dishes anymore with their roasted duck breast and juicy lobster. With a majestic view of London, the OXO Tower Restaurant is perfect for special occasions or a stylish night out.

We’d never had duck with watermelon before, but the sweet, zingy freshness balanced perfectly with the rich, crispy duck, creating a flavour combination unlike anything we’d tried before. It was a spot that effortlessly blended bold, vibrant flavours with a stylish, laid-back atmosphere, and it’s a shame to see it go!
