The Pantry: Edinburgh’s Charming Breakfast and Brunch Spot

The Pantry is an award-winning café in Edinburgh that has become synonymous with top-tier breakfast and brunch. Nestled in Stockbridge, it combines warm Scottish hospitality with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to create dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

They specialise in brunch classics with a modern twist, from hearty full breakfasts to decadent pancakes and vibrant vegetarian options. We noticed their commitment to sustainability and local produce which reflected in each dish as it was both fresh and ethically prepared as possible. They also cater to dietary preferences, with gluten-free and vegan-friendly options.

Let’s talk food

The Pantry elevates brunch into an art form. We saw many reels on Instagram and over 1400 Google reviews, so we had to pop in and try some of their fluffy pancakes topped with seasonal fruits and maple syrup which are perfect for sweet-toothed diners.

Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:

When in Edinburgh, you have to try their Full Pantry Scottish haggis breakfast but the star item definitely was the extras when we added the halloumi sticks which were sweet and sticky!

Nino & Josh

The Pantry delivers a consistently high standard of food, with inventive dishes that celebrate Scottish ingredients. We were only there for a few days and we went there twice, so you know it’s a must visit!
