Alto presents a menu inspired by the diverse regions of Italy, featuring fresh seafood, handmade pasta, and classic dishes prepared with high-quality ingredients. Their open-air terrace, adorned with lemon trees and floral decor, creates a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast.

This is a pretty little place on the rooftop of Selfridges so definitely more for Instagram and the pasta dishes are nice but our steak was well done and a bit chewy. We’d advise to order around 6 dishes to share as their food is tapas style.

Come here in the summer for outdoor seating, especially the Vauxhall branch that is situated on the pier. Get the curry goat and try their rum cocktails. The rest is history.

Cicchetti prides itself on its commitment to authenticity and quality, and it shows in every bite. The menu is designed for sharing, encouraging a dining experience reminiscent of Italian family meals. The chefs’ attention to detail and the use of premium ingredients ensure that every dish stands out, whether you’re indulging in their signature lobster pasta or savouring their home-made gelato, you’re in for a treat. They are quite expensive, especially considering their smaller plates.

The small plates mean that it’s easy to try different dishes and share too. The food was light and we enjoyed it. The dessert platter is also a must!

A little more on the pricey side (just something to be mindful of ahead of your visit) especially for the small plates, but overall a great experience.

Love coming here! – We got the Black Shell platter which has all the sushi and sashimi you can think of, but the quality is up there with some of the best sushi i’ve ever had and the presentation is unmatched!

Roka: A Journey Through Contemporary Japanese Robata Cuisine

Roka’s menu is a celebration of Japanese culinary traditions with a contemporary twist with the star of the show being their robata grill, which imparts a smoky, charred flavour to premium meats, seafood, and vegetables. The menu also includes expertly crafted sushi, sashimi, and innovative small plates.

Roka is all about precision and artistry. We have been coming to Roka for years now and we have to say, it has become a comfort restaurant to us. They also offer some good lunch time deals during the year, so make sure to look out for these. They range from around £35-£45 and their normal menu offers a range of different dishes, so there really is something for everyone.

Roka has a great atmosphere and a nice interior. They have a few locations in London and after visiting a few of them, I can confirm that they all offer the same quality and taste. Perfect date night!

It was Established in 2004 by restaurateur Rainer Becker, its flagship location is situated on Charlotte Street in London and has been growing ever since. It has to be up there with one of our favourite Japanese restaurants.

Roka’s interior is sophisticated and modern, with warm lighting and an open kitchen that lets diners watch the robata grill in action. The restaurant buzzes with energy, making it perfect for a special occasion or a chic night out. Some branches allow you to sit at the bar, where you can dine and drink whilst watching some of your dishes being prepared. This offers a different and unique experience.

Roka is a culinary masterpiece that combines Japanese traditions with contemporary elegance. It’s more than just a meal, it is also a hearty experience. Great for a date night or a lunch date with a set menu. We would highly recommend.

Regency Club: A Hidden Gem for Indian Fusion Dining in Queensbury

Nestled in the heart of Queensbury, The Regency Club is a casual yet refined spot celebrated for its fusion of Kenyan-Indian cuisine. Known for its lively atmosphere and flavorful dishes, it’s a favourite amongst locals, celebraties such as Ed Sheeran and foodies seeking something unique. Harrow offers some of the best indian Restaurants in London (this is coming from an Indian person!) The Regency Club is loved by locals as well as those from other parts of the UK.

The Regency Club specialises in expertly spiced Indian dishes with East African influences. It’s a bar and grill-style setup, perfect for sharing plates with friends and family.

The menu is packed with bold, vibrant flavours and generous portions. The restaurant takes on a Indian and Kenyan mix, which is common. We have always loved their starters. In particular their Lamb kebabs, Chicken Tikka and Masala Mogo had to be our favourites, and we are yet to try their famous Lamb Biriyani. However, after trying their main dishes a few times I was left underwhelmed compared to their amazing starters.

Their starters are fresh, well spiced and absolutely delicious. – We’re looking forward to trying their famous leg of lamb dish!

The Regency Club has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a buzzing bar area and a cozy dining space. It’s perfect for casual evenings, group gatherings, or a fun night out with family. We would recommend booking well in advance, as they tend to get very busy especially on weekends and evenings. I have to add, that they tend to rush you whilst you eat because of how packed and popular Regency is. For the starters though, I would say it is worth it regardless!

Final Veridict:

The Regency Club strikes a balance between authentic flavours and a vibrant dining experience. It’s an excellent spot for those who love robust spices and hearty meals and the food here is loved by many and has been one of the top Indian Restaurants for a long time. We would suggest ordering more starters than mains.

Rosa’s Thai Café: Where Thai Cuisine Meets British Charm

Rosa’s Thai Café is a beloved chain of restaurants that brings authentic Thai flavours to various locations across the UK. With its humble beginnings as a food stall in Brick Lane, Rosa’s has evolved into a staple for those craving fresh, bold, and authentic Thai dishes. Rosa’s Thai has many London locations (Ealing, Soho, Baker Street) the list goes on! As well as a few locations outside of London.

From fragrant curries to iconic stir-fries, Rosa’s serves a variety of Thai classics, all made with fresh ingredients. The menu features everything from their signature Pad Thai to comforting green curries, catering to spice lovers and those who prefer milder dishes alike.

The menu consists of traditional Thai recipes and a contemporary dining experience and one of my favourite go to dishes at the restaurant is the Pad See Ewe’ Stir-Fried Flat Noodles – absolutely delicious, full of flavour (the king prawns option being the best!). Another factor to mention is that in many of their dishes will get an option of protein to choose from. This could be a vegetarian such as veg and tofu or a meat/seafood option. This really makes a difference, because it means that everyone can enjoy dishes at their preference.

For anyone who is a fan of aubergine, they have a new dish called Pad Makhuea’ Stir-Fried Aubergine that looks lovely, which is cooked with soy, chilli and yellow bean sauce, that we would love to try!

Kenton Café’s menu is a celebration of comfort British Indian breakfast fusion, from bombay sandwiches and egg specials to full ‘Hinglish’ fry ups washed down with a sweetened masala tea. They cater to all appetites, with generous portions that guarantee you’ll leave full and happy.
