Circolo Popolare brings the best of Italian cuisine to the heart of Fitzrovia, London. Part of the Big Mamma Group, this trattoria is famous for its extravagant decor, elegant flavours, and an atmosphere that feels like a celebration of all things Italian. Whether you’re here for a romantic dinner, a lively group outing, or just to treat yourself, Circolo guarantees a memorable experience.

Let’s talk food

The menu at Circolo Popolare offers an array of dishes that showcase authentic Italian flavours with a contemporary twist but the standouts are:

  • Truffle Pasta: A decadent dish made with fresh pasta, earthy truffle, and just the right amount of creaminess.

Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:

This place does decent pasta dishes but quite over priced. The mark up is in the beautiful venue (Which it is!) and the extra service for instance serving a carbonara from a cheesewheel and having a huge baked alaska pie for dessert. The focus is mainly in the theatre but i will say the service needs to improve as you can wait a while for service.

Nino & Josh

Venue and Vibes

Circolo Popolare’s interior is nothing short of magical. Picture walls adorned with 20,000 bottles of spirits, shelves overflowing with Italian memorabilia, and ceilings covered in greenery and twinkling lights. It feels like stepping into an Italian villa with a theatrical flair.

The restaurant’s buzzing energy is infectious, making it ideal for celebrations, date nights, and casual dinners alike. The seating is spacious yet cozy, and every corner is Instagram-worthy.

Located at 40-41 Rathbone Place, London W1T 1HX, Circolo Popolare is easily accessible from Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus stations. Best wings and overall chicken food experience we’ve had. If you like spice go for the Jamaican’me crazy wings but their other wings are all amazing so get a selection. The interior design of Aqua Kyoto is sleek and contemporary, with dark wood accents, ambient lighting, and a stunning central sushi bar. The rooftop terrace is an added gem, offering an al fresco dining option that’s especially popular during the summer months.
