Bar Crispin: A Cozy Wine Bar in the Heart of Soho

Tucked away in the bustling streets of Soho, Bar Crispin is a hidden gem that brings a refined yet laid-back wine and dining experience to London. With its carefully curated wine list, seasonal small plates, and intimate atmosphere, it’s the perfect retreat for those who appreciate quality food and drink in a relaxed setting.

Let’s talk food

Bar Crispin’s menu is ever-evolving, showcasing bold flavours and refined techniques that highlight the best of contemporary European cuisine. Each dish is designed to pair seamlessly with their exquisite wine offerings, making for an elevated yet approachable dining experience. The small plates are very ideal as it allows for you to order different dishes to try. The portion sizes are also perfect (not too much, but never too little!)

There dishes change depending on the season, make sure to check their menu online before booking!

Some Dishes You Need to Try:

  • Isle of Wight Tomatoes & Goat’s Curd – A fresh and vibrant dish that perfectly balances sweetness and tang.
  • Cornish Mussels with Fennel & Cider – A light yet deeply flavorful dish with a subtle, aromatic broth.
  • Ox Cheek Croquettes with Smoked Garlic Aioli – Crispy on the outside, rich and tender on the inside, served with a bold garlic aioli.
  • Basque Cheesecake – A creamy, caramelized delight that melts in the mouth and is perfect for rounding off your meal.

Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:

Every dish is packed with flavour however the Aged Beef Tartare Crumpet was our personal fave alongside the sando! rich, buttery & melt-in-your-mouth perfection

Bar Crispin masters the art of simplicity, allowing high-quality ingredients to shine through in each dish. The portions are well-sized for sharing, making it a fantastic spot for a leisurely evening of wine and nibbles.

The Menu

Venue and Vibes

The ambiance at Bar Crispin is effortlessly chic, with a mix of rustic charm and modern elegance. The dim lighting and minimalist decor create an intimate yet welcoming setting, ideal for both casual catch-ups and date nights. Make sure to book ahead as the restaurant itself is quite small and they have limited seating. It can get busy due to it’s location. One thing we didn’t love is the stools for seating – I feel like this was the vibe, however I love my comfort!

With its impeccable wine selection, beautifully crafted small plates, and inviting atmosphere, Bar Crispin is a must-visit for anyone looking for a cozy yet refined dining experience in Soho. This is a cute little gem in the heart of London that we would visit again! Perfect for a lunch date.
