Elystan Street: Elegance Meets Comfort
Elystan Street offers a refined dining experience in Chelsea, focusing on fresh, seasonal, and flavourful dishes. Run by Michelin-starred chef Philip Howard, this restaurant is all about delivering elevated food in a welcoming, relaxed environment.
The menu at Elystan Street is modern European, with an emphasis on clean, bold flavours and seasonal produce. The dishes are thoughtfully prepared, showcasing the best of British ingredients. They are always changing up their menus, so make sure to take a look before booking.
Let’s talk food
The food is elegant yet approachable, with every dish crafted to perfection. On our visit, I was unsure about what to order, as I can be a fussy eater! However, I was pleasantly surprised with the helpful service that we received. This made it easier to order and they helped me to understand and learn more about their dishes and ingredients. When we visited, we tried their three course lunch deal which is priced at £57.50 (which is insanely good for a Michelin Starred Restaurant!)
Some must-try dishes that we had:
Stozzapreti: with a Bolognese of game, root vegetables, parmesan and bay (which to me was fancy pasta and bolognese!) The portion for a starter was bigger than I had expected and to me like comfort food.
Wild Mushroom Soup: with thyme Chantilly and sourdough croutons. It may sound simple, but this was a game changer! Very flavourful and light, which to us makes a perfect starter.
Fillet of Cod: with lightly curried cauliflower purée and vinaigrette of pomegranate, golden raisons, red onion and lime. The colour, heartiness of this dish had me sold. Highly recommend.
Roast breast: with spring roll of goose with crished root vegetables, red cabbage, chestnuts and pear. I have never tried goose before, and although I may never have it again, I am glad that I tried something different to what I would normally order. I would recommend this dish – very filling.
A couple of other dishes that we would love to try from their a la carte menu are:
Hand-Rolled Linguine: Served with Cornish crab, lemon, and parsley for a bright, fresh flavour.
Saddle of Lamb: A tender cut paired with aubergine, harissa, and yogurt.
Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:
Showstopper Dessert: MUST ORDER – was the black velvet ice-cream with warm muscovado madeleines. The ice-cream actually had Guinness in it, and it tasted like sweet brown sugar. It was the best thing I had on my visit.

Venue and Vibes
The venue is sophisticated yet relaxed, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service is attentive and polished, making it an excellent choice for both casual meals and special occasions. It is a pretty location, and offers the best service. The service here was so great, that I have been recommending the restaurant to everyone I meet. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful during our visit.
Elystan Street is a standout in London’s dining scene. Its combination of exceptional food, welcoming service, and elegant atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable meal. Make sure to book ahead of time for your visit! The service as mentioned was one of the best that we have ever had at a restaurant. The menu is unique, interesting and offers an experience whilst dining.
