Chai and Chapati: Comforting Indian Flavours with a Homely Touch
Chai and Chapati brings the warmth of Indian home cooking to the UK. Known for its refreshing teas and authentic Indian flavours, this charming eatery is all about comfort and simplicity.
We went to the Kingsbury branch to try their desi breakfast and brunches alongside their Afternoon Tea which was served with a pot of karak chai which is a strong masala tea.
Let’s talk food
Each dish tastes authentic accompanied with spices that were well-balanced, and the freshness of the ingredients shines through. Whether it’s a warm cup of chai or a hearty thali, the food feels comforting and authentic.
Here are some of the photos we took on our visit:
The Indian Afternoon Tea was a great twist on the British classic. From pani puris, to bombay aloo rolls alongside scones with jam and cream worked in great harmony. The only downside was that the chai was too sweet on top of the already sweet desserts.

Venue and Vibes
The atmosphere at Chai and Chapati is cozy and welcoming, with a minimalist decor that lets the food take center stage. Other centre pieces included their floral swing, blossom trees and private booths which are great for instagrammable content. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a relaxed dining experience.
Would recommend for a girly brunch or lunch. We have some mixed reviews on some of their food, so be mindful and try to not order a lot of things on your first order!
